Refund Policy
Last updated: 1 March 2026
1. Subscription Billing
Axiom subscriptions (Student and Pro tiers) are billed monthly in advance. By subscribing, you authorise recurring charges to your payment method until you cancel.
The Free tier does not involve any charges and is not subject to this Refund Policy.
2. General Refund Policy
Subscription fees are generally non-refundable once charged. This applies to:
- Monthly subscription charges after they have been processed
- Partial months — there are no prorated refunds for cancellations mid-period
- Unused features within a billing period
When you cancel, your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period. You will not be charged for subsequent periods.
3. Eligible Refunds
We will provide a refund in the following circumstances:
- Duplicate charge: You were charged more than once for the same subscription period due to a billing error.
- Service unavailability: Axiom experienced significant downtime (more than 72 hours in a single billing period) that substantially prevented your use of the Service.
- Australian Consumer Law: Where required under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) — for example, if the Service is not fit for purpose or does not match its description. Consumer guarantees under the ACL cannot be excluded.
4. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, contact us at support@axiomstudy.co with the subject line "Refund Request" and include:
- Your account email address
- The date and amount of the charge
- The reason for your refund request
We will review your request and respond within 5 business days. Approved refunds are processed through Stripe and typically appear on your statement within 5–10 business days depending on your bank.
5. Chargebacks
If you initiate a chargeback with your bank or card provider before contacting us, your account may be suspended pending resolution. We encourage you to contact us directly first — we aim to resolve billing issues promptly.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect.
7. Australian Consumer Law
This Refund Policy does not exclude, restrict, or modify any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)). Consumer guarantees apply where the Service fails to meet statutory standards.
